What is a VPN Router? Do I need it?

A VPN router acts as a VPN gateway between your home network and Internet by forwarding ALL packets from all of your home devices (computers, tablets, or any networked devices) to one of our secure VPN Servers. You will need a VPN router if you have multiple devices such iPad, Android, Sony PS3, Xbox and if you want these devices to work through a VPN tunnel. Also, a VPN router is needed when you have a physical VOIP phone which can’t connect to a VPN server.

What is the difference between PPTP VPN, L2TP/IPSec VPN, SSTP VPN and OPENVPN?

PPTP is “good enough” for most purposes as long as a sensible password is chosen – one not easily guessed.
